Forest inventory or taxation shall be carried out on each forest property at least once every twenty years according to the Forest Law. Forest inventory can also be done more often, as needed. Forest inventory includes forest characteristic data such as tree age, height, diameter, etc., and forest land plan. It is precondition to start cutting trees in the forest. The forest inventory is performed by a certified independent forest inventory performer who prepares all the necessary information for land owner and submission to the State Forest Service. Forest management plans can be made based on forest inventory data. The service is performed in accordance with the laws and regulations governing forest protection and use.
